Carpet Weaver

This young woman knots the thread for a high quality carpet. Dyed wool threads piled on top of the loom are painstakingly knotted. A woman may spend 1 1/2 years to complete a carpet. Phyllis loves visiting the carpet shops, learning more about carpets as an art form. Tomorrow we head for Ankara, then the night train to Istanbul before returning home, filled with good memories of Turkey.
